On Eve of Obamacare Vote, Huelskamp Urges Congress to Cast a “No” Vote
DODGE CITY – Just hours before a House vote on the Obama/Pelosi healthcare proposal, Senator Tim Huelskamp urged Kansas’ Congressional delegation to vote against its passage, particularly Rep. Dennis Moore, who is currently in favor of a government takeover of healthcare.

“The will of the American people on this issue could not be clearer,” said Huelskamp. “Despite the townhalls, the TEA Parties, and the countless letters and phone calls to Congressional offices, liberals in the Congress seem determined to ram this new government takeover through Congress, and liberal Dennis Moore is helping lead the way.”

Senator Huelskamp is a co-sponsor of a legislative measure known as the Healthcare Freedom Amendment (SCR 1626). The Healthcare Freedom Amendment would protect the rights of Kansans to purchase any healthcare they desire without interference from career bureaucrats in Washington or Topeka.
