NRA Endorses Huelskamp for Congress

DODGE CITY – Tim Huelskamp, Republican candidate for Congress in the Big First, announced today that he had received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

The NRA endorsement is one of the most sought after endorsements in any Republican primary.

“[Tim Huelskamp] is the only candidate in this congressional race who is tested and proven with a perfect pro-gun voting record,” said NRA Director of Federal Affairs Charles Cunningham.

Huelskamp is the only candidate in the race for 1st District Congress with an A+ rating from the NRA. He was previously endorsed by the Gun Owners of America.

“I’m proud to have the support of the NRA,” said Huelskamp. “When it comes to the 2nd Amendment, we don’t just need someone that says the right things. We need someone with a proven record of fighting for our rights, and unlike my opponents, I’ve done that.”

Conservatives both in Kansas and nationwide have coalesced around Huelskamp’s campaign in recent months. Huelskamp has earned the support of leading conservatives such as Gov. Mike Huckabee, Kansans for Life, Gov. Rick Perry, Gun Owners of America, Congressman Ron Paul, Concerned Women for America, and over 30 members of the Kansas legislature.
