Huelskamp was elected to the House in 2010, replacing the popular Jerry Moran. He won re-election in an unopposed race on Nov. 6, 2012. Huelskamp will seek the Republican nomination in the primary election. The general election takes place Nov. 4, 2014.

Huelskamp: Budget Deal 'More of the Same'
The broad outline of the deal announced was enough to draw a rebuke from GOP Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS). “This budget agreement is more of the same that we’ve seen out of Washington for years," Huelskamp said in a statement. "Instead of providing solutions, it continues the insider game of playing ‘Let’s make a Deal.’"

Tea partier shifts tactics on Obamacare
“There will still be a push to repeal it, a push to defund it,” Huelskamp said here, speaking in a rural health center. “There was a question whether or not the leadership [was] really active in what they wanted to do in defunding that — particularly the Senate side.
