Conservatives slam rushed controversial House vote
The bill is somewhat controversial — some lawmakers want to strike a deal for a more permanent solution. Others, like Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, think the way the patch is paid for — which partly involves shifting sequester cuts to Medicare from 2025 to 2024 — is a “gimmick.” Read more...

A message from Tim
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the voters in the Big First who supported our campaign. The victory would not have been possible without your help, sacrifice, volunteer work, donations, and prayers.

November of 2010 was the beginning of a long journey, and we have a tough road ahead. There will be battles to fight and tough decisions to be made. You have my word that I will do all that I can to put our nation on a conservative course that respects our conservative values and founding principles. Again, thank you for the opportunity to serve you in Congress.

Tim Huelskamp
