WASHINGTON, DC Honorary Chairman Patrick McHenry and the House Conservatives Fund announced their latest endorsements today. The seven open seat and challenger candidates are dedicated to lower taxes and a smaller and less-intrusive government.
The group of candidates we have endorsed today are exemplary, said McHenry. I have met with over one hundred candidates from across the country, and I am confident that the group we have endorsed today will win both in primaries and in November. We are building a new conservative majority, race by race.
McHenry and the House Conservatives Fund have now endorsed a total of 27 candidates, all in primaries or open seats, many with competitive primaries.
Tim Huelskamp (KS-01): A lifelong farmer and conservative leader in the Kansas State Senate, Huelskamp is in a tight primary election today. His closest competitor is a pro-choice moderate state Senator. HCF, along with Club for Growth, RedState.com, and Concerned Women for America, is supporting the only viable conservative in the race because the winner of this primary will be the next Member of Congress.
The endorsed candidates will each receive a contribution and additional support from HCF.
The House Conservatives Fund seeks to identify and support candidates who are both conservative and viable. McHenry has served as Honorary Chairman since March 2009.
