Huelskamp Has Strong Performance At Hays Debate; Stresses Conservative Credentials
DODGE CITY – This evening, all of the candidates for the Big First met on the campus of Fort Hays State University to debate the issues in front of a large crowd. Out of all the candidates that attended, Senator Tim Huelskamp stood out by stressing his proven conservative record and his strong support for Kansas agriculture and rural America.

On the subject of spending in Washington, Huelskamp said we need leaders who will do the right thing and not cave to the pressures of Washington:

"I'll just say that this spending problem wasn't caused just by Democrats. It's the result of irresponsibility over multiple administrations," said Huelskamp. "I've stood for lower taxes and limited government here in Kansas, and I'll do everything I can to make government live within its means."

Huelskamp is seeking the Republican nomination for the Big First. His campaign has been endorsed by Governor Mike Huckabee, Kansans for Life, Gun Owners of America, Governor Rick Perry, Congressman Ron Paul, and over two dozen Kansas legislators.
