FOWLER – Senator Tim Huelskamp, candidate for U.S. Congress in KS-1, was surprised to learn that his wife Angela’s picture appears in Palin’s new best-selling book, “Going Rogue.”
“As soon as the book came out, we started getting emails and messages on our Facebook page about Angela being in the book, and sure enough, there she was,” said Huelskamp.
The photo -- which appears in the second set of glossy photos featured in Palin’s New York Times best-selling book -- is of Todd Palin’s parents at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis last summer. Angela Huelskamp is shown sitting in front of the Palins. (picture below)
Todd’s parents weren’t the only famous parents Angela was pictured with at the convention. She was also able to sit right behind Sarah Palin’s mom and dad – Chuck and Sally Heath.
Angela was able to visit with the Heaths and thank them for sharing their daughter with America: “Sarah’s parents seemed very much like average, ordinary folks and definitely proud parents. They had their own camera to snap pictures of their daughter and son-in-law. I think that is one of the things Americans appreciate so much about Sarah Palin and her family is their authenticity.”
According to Angela, “Getting to meet and visit with the Heaths was a delight.”
Senator Huelskamp, who has long been a defender and an admirer of Palin, plans to attend Sarah Palin’s upcoming speech in Kansas. “We are thrilled to have Sarah Palin here in Kansas. The values that she fights for are the same common sense conservative values we’re proud of as Kansans,” he said.
“Some of the folks out East may not think too much of her, but as for our family and most Kansans, for that matter -- we love and admire Governor Palin,” said Sen. Huelskamp.
