DODGE CITY – As of the end of the 4th quarter of 2009, Huelskamp will have grossed a grand total of $556,000 for his Congressional campaign -- and will report roughly $480,000 cash on hand.
"If you ask me, the astonishing thing is the cash on hand number," said Huelskamp fundraising consultant Erin DeLullo. A lot of campaigns raise a lot of money, but have little to show for it in the end. Senator Huelskamp has consistently demonstrated both the ability to raise money -- and the ability to spend it wisely. That's what you look for in a successful campaign."
Aside from raising more than half a million dollars during his campaign for Congress, Huelskamp has now also received contributions from each of the 69 counties in the Big First District.
"We know that if someone gives you $25, they're going to vote for you -- and they're going to get their friends and family to vote for you, too. The fact that Kansans from each of the 69 counties have already voted for Senator Huelskamp with their pocketbooks shows this campaign is embraced by Kansas Republicans from all over the Big First," said Huelskamp campaign manager David Ray.
